Fresh Milled Whole Grain Bread (Farmers Market only)

$10.00

There is something timeless about a loaf of bread made from grain milled fresh on the farm. At Breen Acre Farm, our Fresh Milled Whole Grain Bread is crafted from a blend of hard white wheat, golden hard white wheat, and hard red wheat berries, freshly milled to preserve the grain's natural goodness, flavor, and character. We blend these wholesome grains with our farm-rendered beef tallow, creating a hearty, rustic loaf rooted in traditional farmstead baking.

Unlike highly processed breads made with refined flour, fresh-milled whole grain bread retains the bran, germ, and endosperm of the wheat kernel, preserving naturally occurring fiber, vitamins, minerals, and beneficial plant compounds. Research suggests that regular whole-grain consumption is associated with improved digestive health, better blood sugar management, and a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease (Aune et al., 2016; Reynolds et al., 2019).

Every loaf is a reflection of the values we hold dear at Breen Acre Farm—simple ingredients, honest craftsmanship, and food made the way our grandparents would recognize. The addition of traditional farm-rendered beef tallow contributes richness, flavor, and a tender crumb while honoring a time-tested ingredient that has nourished generations of farm families.

Whether served warm with a spoonful of our homemade jams and jellies, toasted for breakfast, or placed at the center of the supper table, our Fresh Milled Whole Grain Bread is more than a staple—it's a celebration of the land, the harvest, and the enduring tradition of real food made with care.

"From our fields to your table, this is bread the way it was meant to be—freshly milled, thoughtfully crafted, and deeply rooted in the traditions of farm life."
